Taking a closer look at Microsoft 365

I loathe software subscriptions, also often referred to as ‘SaaS’ which stands for Software as a Service. So basically instead of owning a license to use a program you’d rent the license on a monthly or yearly basis. Now, I’m sure there will be situations in which this can solve quite a few problems so I’m definitely not opposing this business model from existing.

What I do think is important to note though is that such a model mostly benefits the provider, not the consumer. Think about it: every period where you don’t use said software you’re basically wasting your money. Or… when you do suddenly need it while your subscription already ran out you’d better hope that your creative mood is still a thing after you re-activated things.

And yet, despite my strong opinion on the matter I’m still a very satisfied Microsoft 365 user.

Since this blog hasn’t seen any tech articles for a while I figured I’d post a review and share some general tips & tricks about Microsoft’s flagship products…
